Powering a Dac-amp through a usb port that outputs less amperage

Hello,

 

I have a dac/amp that uses 5v 2.5 amperage.

I have connected it to a 3.0 usb port in my motherboard. Usb 3.0 ports output about a max of 1 amperage though.

 

Does this introduce noise in the sound?

Would it create any other problems?

 

A response would be greatly appreciated.

No. You may not be able to fully max out the volume of that device depending on the headphones you use.

The port might shut off if the DAC uses too much power and the computer might complain, other than that there isn't much else that can go wrong.
