I need a full tower for Xfire

Virgule

Hey,

I set up my Xfire in my current case only to come to the conclusion that whatever I do, my top card gets hotter than I'm comfortable with. I did my best with cable management and fan positioning and I think I need another case. Here's my setup (parts in signature) :

I'd like to get a full tower case that's well designed with airflow and cable management in mind. I'd also like something that can accommodate a lot of fans/radiators.

Also the basics :

- USB 3 header

- Front (not top) positioned header (since it's under a desk)

- Minimum 7 expansion slots (enough for crossfire, I think 7 is the lucky number)

- Standard ATX mobo/psu compatibility

- Optical drive

The only downside is I need something with MAXIMUM 21 1/2 '' of height because it will go under my desk. I don't care if I need to take out some feet/wheels to achieve that. If your suggestion doesn't fit that criteria, post it anyway and I'll consider it.

Thanks in advance.

Why not use a waterblock?

Cause $$$$, also cause this case CAN'T accommodate any more radiator space.

Yeah, because decent watercooling loops for this sort of setup only cost about $600 CAD...

Do you know the total height once feet removed ?

a little over 55cm (21.7")

You can ask me anything about the case if you want, i have it right next to me ;)

Edit: Oh, i see it doesnt fit your criterias even now. It also has the power button on top so that would be difficult to push ^^

Ok lol. Do you have the Advanced version or not ?

I would need a precise measurement of the case without feet from ground to highest point.

I would also like to know your impressions on the case. Pros and Cons.

Thanks a bunch.

55.4 cm exactly ^^ but as i said with the power button being on top and you need some space to push it.

Well the case itself is pretty nice if you ask me. Airflow is pretty epic but dust is also pretty much. You have to buy fan filters with that thing.

Cablemanagement is good, you can easily run a 24pin up the back. Graphicscard lenghts are no problem at all, so are psu lenghts. You can fit 5hdd/ssds, a 360mm rad in the top, up to 6 5.25" devices, tonns of fans

etc. Its also build pretty good and stable.

Depending on the gpu you have the toolless pcie slots design sucks a bit.

Pros:

Airflow

space (for everything basically)

ok. Watercooling

Cable management

build quality

design (imo)

2psu mounts (if you need it lol, gives massive rad space at the top tho)

Cons:

Dust

pcie brackets

hdd cave not removable

heavy

my gpu is too wide so the toolless design can't be used anyone. Had to use screws which sucks.

Cooler Master cases have great airflow for sli/crossfirex setups. I suggest looking at their haf stacker series or the ol reliable haf x.
