Has anyone put a PC in their car?I Use to want the VoomPC-2 enclosure now i don't know what I want. e3io Also makes android headunits WHAT DO I DO????????????????

The vast majority of the options to make it an actual useable PC make it ungodly expensive for what it is.

Depending on what the goal is, i would either use a raspi or, i would just buy a off the shelf mini PC and a voltage converter for it.

Since remember, Car's operating systems *are rather locked down* and even if you do get into it, you probably have broken a law and no dealership would want to work on it.
And if its for entertianment, again why?

nope,  it was pretty common and not really a big thing tbh.

 

they still do that for super / luxury cars ... its not rocket science,  you may need an extra battery, that's it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had no idea others did it too especially since it isn't practical with CD drives as those don't like movement (neither do HDD's but that takes longer to notice).

yep, thats true, but like on a highway or during breaks it shouldn't be a problem.  and with modern consoles even less (no disc needed)

Why it has Wifi antennas in the back is beyond me... Unless the point is to use public Wifi. But I would just go for 5G hotspot at that point. 

 

Also, why? And why not just Android tablet with suitable holder? What will PC do in normal car that tablet can't? Its way different for all those truckers with their setups. For one, they have much more space for the setup.

People are so busy and distracted while driving with cell phones, big screen infotainment systems, X Boxes/Playstaions and now PC's at their finger tips while driving, it a wonder we all make it home alive every day.

yeah,  it was like you said, people still did a lot of pimp my ride style umderglow nitro etc car tuning, having a PlayStation or Xbox was just really common back then, if it was "usable" wasn't really important lol... also as said you could still use it on highways/ during breaks, i doubt you could use it while drifting on a rocky mountain road...
