System wide FPS counter

garethsnaim

Does this exist? Ideally I want an FPS counter that shows in my stream deck, but I cannot get FRAPs to even show an FPS.

Surely there is something out there that allows an FPS counter all the time?

I want a single FPS counter for all my games, steam is fine for steam, XBox is fine for Xbox etc, I want something that does all of them.

I did try MSI afterburner, I could not for the life of me get a FPS counter to appear on screen so gave up.

AMD settings have a metrics overlay.

It doesn't show FPS when not in games tho.

MSI Afterburner does all that though,  there isnt *really* another option,  as in even if you get another program with similar functionality it'll be less reliable and especially less compatible.

its also extremely simple, not making fun of you, you probably just didn't check some boxes tbh, it can be intimidating if you aren't familiar using guis, but it is in fact extremely simple and the descriptions in the program are pretty good (would recommend reading them)

thats the other thing , op is asking for "system wide", im not aware of any program that does it for non 3d applications (that includes "2D" games) and also for example videos,  just because YouTube tells you its 60fps doesn't make it so... etc.

maybe there's a rainmeter skin or something but i wouldn't know, im not into that .
