Is Rtx 3060 12gb better or RTX 4060 ti 8 gb better

i will take an rtx card so i was about to take an msi rtx 3060 ->https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B08WPRMVWB/ref=ewc_pr_img_4?smid=A1A1JBOUJEFFNA&psc=1 BUT, then i saw an rtx 4060 ti that is better and little bit more price -> https://www.amazon.in/MSI-GeForce-Ventus-128-bit-Graphic/dp/B0C7W8GZMJ/ref=sr_1_5?crid=18KRU1A3NJKEW&keywords=rtx%2B4060&qid=1691328701&sprefix=rtx%2B406%2Caps%2C239&sr=8-5&th=1 then i finalized it but then after checking everything its fps was good everything was good but its 128 bit and other is 192 bit now i want to compare these things -:

-> is it 128 bit better than 192 bit

->it is 8 gb but other is 12 (this seems ok cause it gives better performance)

->its performance

i compared and 4060 was better in all cases then these so please help me select

Since you're purchasing new RTX series instead of upgrading from 20x0 or 30x0 series, I would say go for 4060 series

Frame Gen, DLSS3.5 is a great boost for 40x0 series card (although it depends on the game developer and usually applicable on newer AA/AAA games)

We live in a age where 'AI core' is on early development, which means that new every iteration of RTX GPU, it will have massive improvement of AI core which will somehow make the previous iteration of the GPU obsolete

(i.e. Frame Gen only available on RTX 40x0)

My System: Ryzen 7800X3D // Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX // 32GB DDR5 Silicon Power Zenith CL30 // Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT OC with mod heatsink on the metal plate  // Phanteks P300A  // Gigabyte Aorus GEN4 7300 PCIE 4.0 NVME // Kingston NV2 Gen4 PCIE 4.0 NVME //

why are you only going with Nvidia cards? The 6700 XT would be the best option in this case.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).
I'm learning video editing and trying to get some cash as a high school student.
I like F1, my favourite team is Scuderia Ferrari and favourite driver is Charles Leclerc. Favourite track is Red Bull Ring in Austria.
Playing with a 1080p 60hz monitor right now, hoping to upgrade to a 1440p 144hz one soon.

Living in AU and that pisses me off since every event is late at night or early in the morning (almost every F1 race starts around 11 PM AEST time)

This! I feel like you get a lot more by going with AMD at that price. The 4060Ti is just too cut down and the 3060 is a great card for its age but still gets beaten by the 6700XT.

No it is not... Please do research before blurting stuff like this. AMD cards are still very good and the 6700 XT performs better than both those cards while being cheaper.

In general higher bitrate is better, meaning 192 bit is better than 128.

more vram is better where everything else is equal.

There are a few games where a weaker card with more vram can outperform otherwise stronger cards. An example is The Last Of Us Part 1. For the most part the 12GB vram on the 3060 is currently wasted, but it seems that newer games is more and more VRAM hungry, especially those ported from consoles

in a vacuum:

The 3060 is entirely too competative with the 4060.  The extra RAM, and the better bandwidth means it punches up compared to the nerfed 4060.

The 4060's only real advantage is the updated cores, and support for the DLSS3+ spec.

At the pricepoint tho, I'd buy an AMD Card, and get better FPS, unless you're doing something that requires NVidia tech.

This is what you want. Its better than all the suggested cards.

Also ray tracing on a 60 series card is like simply not happening. Its not powerfull enough and barelt holds 60 even with high performance mode dlss which makes the game look flat out worse.

You simply wont be playing with rtx on in anything else than minecraft and the worst thing about that is that even in minecraft ray tracing is so heavy it doesnt work well at all
