Any tips to make the Samsung 970 evo compatible with the asrock B550 motherboard with P2.40 bois?

ok so it might be not formated/intialized.

open disk maneger and format it to NTFS.

i clicked settings and then storage, where it showed 2 out of 3 terabytes available(2 on my hard drive and one on my ssd)

Right click the start menu button and it should be there in both win10 and win11

Which Asrock B550?
Have you checked whether the M.2 slot you are using for the new drive got deactivated because you plugged in a SATA ?

Than right click on the drive header and it will give a format option. (been a little while since I last did it but its mostly right)
