ok so it might be not formated/intialized.

open disk maneger and format it to NTFS.

Which Asrock B550?
Have you checked whether the M.2 slot you are using for the new drive got deactivated because you plugged in a SATA ?

Than right click on the drive header and it will give a format option. (been a little while since I last did it but its mostly right)
