List of Error Codes for Aliexpress Motherboard x99-h9

Hi folks ,

I have a motherboard from aliexpress QIYDA X99-H9

I have a processor intel 2650L v3 and 2x 32GB ecc reg

when I power on the device it shows error AA

before that it goes through 69, 4F , 89 and the computer doesn’t start or showing anything .

any idea what are these error codes ? I have changed positions to ram 1,3 and 1,4 but still the same . I also removed all cards and drives except the GPU but again nothing . GPU, RAM, CPU work because I tested them on another pc.

Are you certain the mobo supports such large sticks? Remember, these boards are chinese salvage systems and the chipsets may not see that.

Try a single stick, or something smaller in size, if you have it

Want to point out the error codes are defined by the chipset, so you can find a list of error codes for another C612 chipset board and compare to see what they mean. First one to come to mind with a list of post codes is the ASUS Z10PE-D16 WS, which would have the codes as System Agent DXE initialization, DXE IPL starting, not defined, and transitioned to ACPI mode. That AA code should mean that it's in the OS, or at least trying to boot into the OS.

My guess is there's some sort of BIOS incompatibility with the GPU. If you have something else you can try instead, do that, as that's probably what's preventing you from seeing an image.

It's caused by the H81/H87 chipset using by this knock-off board refusing to work with higher than  16GB DIMM module, meanwhile B85 and higher chipset on many Chinese knock-off board doesn't have the issue.

This motherboard only supports a maximum of 1x16gb sticks. Many X99-H9 Aliexpress listings state that in the description. So your sticks aren't supported.

Thank you for the answers. I have ordered 2x 16GB Kingston ECC DDR4 RDIMM. 2666. They will arrive the day after and I will test it. these are not exactly matching modules but they are both CL19 and 2666. I hope they will work.

I tried with 1 and 2 16gb sticks . I moved them in different positions and also I placed only one . Error code is the same AA . As a next step I will try to replace the GPU 😞 grrrr and find out what is the issue …

Hi All, I am such an idiot . I removed cmos battery , then I moved a jumper related to cmos around and then it booted with the 2x32GB ……I should had played with this at the very beginning . So I confirm my motherboard qiyida x99 matx works with 32gb 2400mhz sticks . I have installed 2x32 and I will buy one more set .
