A friend asked me to upgrade his system so he can play bf4 on high with a good framerate.

So he needs a new gpu, the rest of his system is not a problem.

Which one would you recommend? Only so that i can compare the results to used cards.

Thanks!

but still around 60fps on high?

vs. gtx 580 for 150€? it only about the price/performance.

Look at the benchmarks I provided. Anything above the R7 265 will pull 60+ FPS on High details

BF loves AMD gpus

so if you want the best bang for the buck then buy a 280 or 280x

a 280 is pretty cheap now with the new price cut

I use a 660 and play on high, I never really dip below 60FPS. The R9 270 should do even better.

What CPU are you using? Mine goes even higher than his GTX 770 and I use an R9 280X.

@thread starter

If Battlefield 4 is what you'll be playing mostly, get a Radeon R9 card. The Geforce counterparts are slower on BF4 and more expensive as well by around $50 on average. They're only worth it if you're particular about Nvidia exclusive features and want additional performance on other games.

The R9 270X with a good CPU (Core i5 2nd gen or later at least) will do 60 FPS on ultra in BF4 at 1080p resolution.
