Most useless CPU?

I used to run Diablo and Diablo 2 on my Pentium MMX at 200 Mhz... and it last me through Windows 95 and 98.

Takin shit on C2Q? My q8200 is running at 3.5GhZ and out does I5 2500K's when they're at stock! > :D

I meant that cpu was around when everyone else was running core 2 quads which were like 12 times more powerful.

was looking at getting a q8200 recently to replace a (much loved but no longer adaquite) e5200. heard it wasnt a great performer/overclocker especially if your running ddr2, to get past 2800mhz you MUST have ddr3 ram (400fsb with 1:1=800ddr2 which i have), ill buy a q8200 for £20 as an upgrade but not if i have to buy some ddr3 aswell (higher base multi's ftw)

Yeah! i know , But if i fry the chip somehow or someway , my current budget doesnt allow me to buy a chip/ram/mobo combo & i'm not sure as hell not buying a low end product again even if i have to wait like 5 years. maybe i can buy just the chip as of now (what's the use in having just the chip?), but i dont wanna risk it. until it's time for dual xeon , i'm riding my way through hell all the way with the single core. Any i7 -****X processor. The next lowest 6 core K series SKU can be overclocked to it for hundreds of pounds less.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - CPU Cooler: Deepcool Castle 240EX - Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RBG 3200MHz - GPU: MSI RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO

Most i3 processors that you can buy in a box. Those are destined to be resold in OEM systems or something.

To be really fair, Kaveri/7700k specifically. The A10-7700k is just an expensive Athlon from years ago, with a bumped price tag because it has really shitty, low-clock GPU cores from an R7 250 in it. It's nowhere near as good as the 7850k (which I still think is crap) as an APU but costs damn close to it. Why it was even produced is beyond me except to scam people for money.

Any i7 -****X processor. The next lowest 6 core K series SKU can be overclocked to it for hundreds of pounds less.

This is what pisses me off the most usually. Why buy a 4960X when you can buy a 3930k for far less and get roughly the same performance?

Probably something in the Pentium 4 range in the early-mid 2000s.

i3 CPUs are decent IMO.
