Using older power supply in new build

So me and my brother are helping our younger brother build a new computer next week. Were not sure if we should use his old power supply in a new build as it has been used in a heavily overclocked system for about ~5+ years now. The power supply in question is a corsair hx620 so it is a pretty solid unit but not sure if it'd be risking saving hundred bucks only to blow up the ~$1000 dollar build were making. I've built several computers but this is the first time a really old part may actually be relevant.

 

So are we being paranoid or is our skepticism legitimate?

I'd get a new one just for the fact that it'll come with a new warranty.

I doubt overclocking would do anything to it. They're rated for that power for a reason, and it's not like you were forcing it to give out more than that.
