Maybe no liquid metal!

What if you in a video Linus, took a copper cold plate and solder (like that solder) it to the ihs on CPU, weather it sticks or not. More or less liquid smash them together if possible. It maybe if the soldier was to stay liquid it would fill gaps and bowing effect. Crazy ida figured I would ask. If you use the idea shout out Shawn saylor. See you on the next one!

What would be the point? You're just adding yet another layer of copper to transfer heat through.

If you're going to that kind of extreme you may as well lap the ihs flat, would be easier and less risky.

the effort to do it is just worse than just delidding it in the first place. And delidding is more reversible than whatever this is.
