Rate my Build/How I can improve

Arevera1

Hey yall! Im new tothe community and wanted to get feedback on my build. I fell down a rabbit hole of LTT vids this weekend and realized I could (possibly) not have a great build for A) my usage (mostly gaming such as modded Minecraft or Assassins Creed) and B) the cost/efficiency of the PC. This PC was built a couple of years ago and I am considering upgrading (if needed) as funding/deals come available. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Howdy! Welcome to the Forum, glad to have you with us.

Thats a beefy motherboard!  Quite a balanced system actually, I see nothing wrong here.
Upgrade path: 5800X3D ( BIOS update ) - 4070/4070ti or 7900XT / XTX.  Maaybe upgrade the PSU to a RM850x or similar, allthought  the CX is quite a decent PSU.
Basically.  5800X3D - better GPU.  Done.

Only upgrade if you feel that what you have does not do the job anymore.

Pretty much just drop in a 5800x3d and drop in a better gpu since used 3080(ti), 3090, even used 6800xt/6900xt go for pretty good prices nowadays

And this will do just fine even for a 3090 since the 5800x3d only pulls around 100w under full load or something, an upgrade is simply a waste of money unless you really need an upgrade (psu actually cant handle component power draw/spikes and shuts down under load)

Update: I've decided to start saving for 5800x3d and RTX 4070. However, immediately, I am going to upgrade my SP A60 ssd to a Samsung 980 Pro as the A60 is my main and has slowed + no DRAM.

Because Windows and video games are on the ssd I am replacing, to start new is it as simple as copying entire files and such onto the new 980?
