Can i move Windows from one ssd to another

yes just use a free cloning tool

 

connect both ssds clone the old one to the new one and then you can reformat the old one

Sure, clone it over.  Macrium Relfect for free, or Samsung and others have their own software for it.

From experience and asking this question myself in past builds, it is cleaner to do a fresh install of windows on the new SSD.

Yep, I just had to do this twice recently for the first time, and Macrium worked like a charm both times. Been a few weeks and no issues on either PC.

 

edit: Hmm. "twice for the first time" sounds weird, but I think you get the drift.

I prefer a fresh install as well, but I haven't been let down by Samsung, Acronis, or Macrium.

Also, may I suggest going with a bigger storage size? That's up to you depending on your needs.

ya u can but u need to clone it, simply copying does not work because some partitions etc are hidden and cant be copied otherwise.

ya 512 is tiny haha, but if thats all op needs...
