IS IT JUST ME!!!!

Is it just me or am i the only person in the world whose Intel 4670K will not overclock for shit. I can hit any thing over 4.0GHz for nothing.   Even the Asus auto overclocking thing wont help me for nothing.

You might have lost in the silicon lottery, sorry bud :( It's a fact that the ability of your processor to overclock is randomly chosen due to how the printed silicon is divvied up. Some chips overclock like champs, others just don't. All the luck of the draw

I know its luck of the draw but damn Intel. Why even make a K series if you can't get 300 megahertz above stock clock. My CPU is water cooled with H 105 from Corsair it's kind of sad I did all the cooling in the world and I can't get to 4.0

Did you overclock from bios?

Did you raise the voltage?

Did you try experimenting with LLC?

Did you try turning off speedstep?

Did you try using offset as well as fixed voltage?

Did you overclock the turbo values or the base clock?

You're far from the only one, I know a person who's 3770k will do 5Ghz at 1.34v and 5.5Ghz at 1.4v. while it takes my 3570k 1.4v to hit 4.8Ghz and I don't even know if it's stable because I can't keep it cool. It's completely random, sometimes you get a good chip and sometimes you don't.

I did overclock from the bios I have a voltage up to 1.4 I tried experimenting with llc and speedster I tried with all set voltage is and fixed. Looks like I have the worst overclocking CPU ever lol

And did you overclock using the ratio or the turbo boost clocks?

Started with Radio did not touch Boost clocks at all.

if it's like amd, you want to disable turbo boost and set a steady frequency...adjust only the multiplier and the voltage to begin with...
