Can't manually insert an image into status update content when viewing a profile page in the background

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

1. Go to a profile page. Yours or someone else's.
2. Click your pic/username on the right side of the navigation bar, and click Update Status.
3. Attach an image file and try to insert it into the post. 

What happened?

No visible action happens when trying to insert the image.

 

What did you expect to happen?

The image should be inserted into the post at the text cursor location.

 

Any other relevant details:

Also happens when you're viewing your profile page and click to edit a status update.

The image will automatically insert itself at the end of the post as if it were never manually inserted. You can see this if you preview the post.
