Cooler Master v1000 vs Seasonic Platinum 1000w

Hello guys,

I want to buy a new PSU and i need a 1000w one, after searching the right PSU i cant decide between the CM V1000 or the SS p1000w please help to decide

Are you sure you need 1000w? That's a LOT of power.

To answer the question in the OP, I'd go with the Seasonic. 

 

//off-topic what are you going to be using that will need 1000w of power? You could run SLI 780ti's on 860w...

How much are both of them? The Cooler Master is a Seasonic KM3 unit internally, but it offer a better, quieter FDB fan. On the other hand, it lacks a switch for semi-passive mode, in which the fan will always actively spinning (it will still be spinning at low RPM at lower loads).

 

I would go with the CM if it at the same price range or cheaper. Want other opinions, here's a discussion at Jonnyguru of someone asking the same thing. http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10275
