Worried about moving to linux with corsair hardware.

As the title says, i want to remove Windows and start using Linux (probably fedora, nobara or mint idk).

The thing is, i have a desktop PC with a lot of corsair hardware and these parts use icue for control. my fans are all connected to a commander pro and an rgb controller that came with the fans.

(i got 6 QL120 fans, and a H100i RGB platinum that uses 2 of the 6 QL fans mentioned)

my fan curves and rgb are all controlled using icue and i am afraid that my fans wont even turn on if i boot linux because of the way things are connected.

while i do want the rgb to work, the possibility of my pc booting linux with the fans off, then frying itself since the cooling doesnt work is a much bigger problem lol

any advice? what do i need to do? what will happen if i just go for it and boot linux?

I think it would be unlikely that the fans just don't turn on if you use Linux I think the best way to check if that might be an issue is to make sure that the USB for installing Linux has a graphical user interface where you can look at stuff before actually installing Linux onto your drives and while there check that the fans are working, if they aren't you can just restart the computer and everything will be fine.

For RGB OpenRGB is recommended, it's both available on Windows and Linux and is meant to replace iCUE, Armory Crate and similar softwares.

If you don't want to physically look at the fans to check if they are turned on or not there is software which this article goes through for checking CPU and GPU temperatures.

Until software takes control the BIOS does the job of controlling fans on its own.

Simply put Linux on a USB stick using Rufus. Tell the BIOS to boot from the stick first.

Boot the computer from the stick and see what the fans are doing. Simple enough to pull the power plug if things aren't going.
