You should attach a external GPU to a Virtual Windows PC on Parallels

I'm curious to know if you could pass PCI-E through from a USB-C external GPU and have windows handle the drivers. Is gaming on Apple Silicon possible?

To the first part i can say i have no F***ing clue. To the second part you can game "natively" on OSX via metal and using the m2 chip

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Not that way. I don't know the PCIe question, but it's not relevant as you couldn't run Windows games to begin with, Parallels is for Virtual Machines and thus only runs the ARM version of windows, not the standard x86 most games are coded for, so likely none of your library would be compatible even if GPU passthrough is possible. There are emulators that can run x86 Windows but they are so slow and clunky that using the OS itself is barely possible, so gaming would be out of the question.

Like @Failure 101 said, just gotta see what games in your library run on Mac, they'll either be ARM native or run the x86 macOS version through Rosetta II (which the M chips will handle decently well, IIRC Apple themselves showed of Shadow of The Tomb Raider running at... playable settings/resolution this way when they announced the M chips).

If you want to game on Apple Silicon, the only real answer is GeForce Now, sadly. Although it does work shockingly well.
