e-atx (Extended atx) is basically just an atx motherboard that is slightly wider. an e-atx motherboard will not fit into a normal atx case, so you would need to make sure you get a case that can support an e-atx motherboard if you have one.

See above picture E-ATX has more room for motherboard.
However its not a fixed standard so take care of the measurements first!!!

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

There are more standards then just ATX and derivatives, there's also SSI:

Hehehe well in real life its not that simple.
Try and buy a E-ATX system you will find out. Not every E-ATX is the same.
You will need to take care of the size of the motherboard and then get a case which its fits in.
Ive had many come back with motherboard and case which would not fit, even due to both having the E-ATX mark...

Standards can be nice, but if they are not precisely adheared they dont matter much.
Thats why i say its not a real standard. Just like ATX. Its documented yes. But so many are not 'in spec'...

It's a case that everyone rants about because it's a non standard. It's also what gamers nexus says like a swear word, along with actual swear words. usually fucking e-atx! it's not. a. standard!
