Hiberfil.sys will be approximately 40% of the total RAM of the system. You can reduce the file size by turning on Hibernation in Windows.

I am assuming you run Windows 10 but there is a link to the Windows 11 article in the article.

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2859-enable-disable-hibernate-windows-10-a.html#:~:text= Enable or Disable Hibernate in Windows 10,longer show in the Power menu. More

As for Pagefile.sys this is also determined on the total RAM of the system and automatically managed from somewhere between 1.5 to 4x the RAM of the system.

This can be set manually but I would not recommend it.

I had just installed windows and it takes 163GB on disk C. However, when I selected all folders in disc C they take 18GB. What could the solution be?

Delete all partitions on the disk with DiskPart through your bootable USB or installation media. Restart the fresh installation again. If that didn't work, make a lightweight version of Windows 11 (Tiny 11) which you can customise to your liking to get rid of the bloatware and other features. You then can install your customised version of Windows.

Here's how to delete your partitions with DiskPart:

1) Boot into your Windows installation media

2) Press Shift and F10 at the same time

3) CMD window opens up, type "diskpart"

4) Type "select disk 0"

5) Type "clean"

6) Proceed with Windows installation

dont EVER use tiny11, it is a heaping pile of garbage that's broken to the point of uselessness for the sake of being the smallest possible build of windows 11.

Update: I followed the steps above but nothing, the issue persists. Can it be misreporting? I forgot to mention that Windows is installed on a virtual drive ( two 256GB drives in raid1).
