So I'm not sure how good a deal this is, was looking at a couple other of the newegg deals featuring an i7-12700k with other 690 mobos and stumbled across this one - for about a $100 upcharge you get a much faster CPU with more e-cores and a "better" mobo capable of running DDR5 memory.  Links to the other deals will be below.

 

Looking to check that this deal is decent or if I'm better off with one of the i7 12700k's

This one is quite decent. 70$ extra for 32GB DDR5 compared to 16GB DDR4 on Micro Center 12700K Build-A-PC combo

unless you're doing something that will specifically benefit from the extra e-cores on  the i9?  Save the scratch and get the M SI i7 bundle, hands down.  (I was eyeballing that too)
