Is getting a 6700XT a bad idea right now with the new cards slated for release?

For the past 2 weeks I've been contemplating buying a 6700XT but should I wait for after computex or after May to get a new GPU? For context I'm buying from Lazada's Malaysian site and am looking for a mid-range as an upgrade from a 2060. I'm buying the card to get 90+ FPS with high graphics in most modern games / upcoming games at 1080P.

Look for a 6700xt in the used market

 

Here in indo theyre going for like 230$ so pretty massive savings going used

 

Heck you may even be able to get a 6800(xt) for the same price or cheaper than a new 6700xt (awhile ago there were used 6800 going for 300$)

What's the rest of your system?

 

Depending on that a 6700 non-xt might be a better choice (if there's a CPU bottleneck), or a 6750XT which usually isn't that pricier than a 6700XT.

Ryzen 2600 currently but alongside GPU I'd probably buy a 5600

ATM it's maybe the best GPU deal along with the 6800

However it won't be a massive upgrade from a 2060 so you should contemplate the 6800xt which will be near double performance of the 2060

get a 5800x3d instead, more fps, personaly upgrading from a 5700x to a 5800x3d bc of the vcache

There will be a CPU bottleneck. If you're not going to get a 1440p monitor in the near future (1-2 years of using the 6700XT), save some money and get the RX 6700.

It's +50% so it's a "good" jump, but a 6800xt will be +90% which is massive for not much more money

tbf it would be a MASSIVE jump from my 2060 but the 6800XT breaches my budget, especially considering I'm updating a few other parts aswell. It's not like I need super duper fast hardware anyway. TY for the respone tho

try getting a used 6800, 6800 xt or 6900 xt
