Vsync limits BF4 to 60 FPS not 30

It does depend on the monitor. To be fair though, it's unlikely he's running a 30 hz monitor.

No (user of two 290x's)

---

On topic: check crossfire is enabled. But TBH one 290 is more than enough to ultra BF4 @ 60fps using D3D/Mantle

I use 2 cause I use 200% scaling

Does it ever drop below 30? I know EVGA (don't know if this applies for AMD) has a fps limit so to not cause screen tearing and extra power. Also maybe thermal throttling they're reference... BF4 has a FPS limit console command as well.

Also, did you buy these cards for $40 from china?

Edit: Just read the recent comments... IDEK what to say about that...

Vsync limits BF4 to 60 FPS not 30

I was saying something like Vsync since in one of my games there's an option to limit it to 30FPS.

Back off your resolution scaling a little, and then put it back up, see if there is any weird bugs in the memory management, when I was using scaling, I was seeing a 40% fps drop no matter if it was 110% or 200%, but then if say, after a restart, I oculd use 150% for a whole game and it was playable fine,.. as in its probably got its own set of problems that don't arise often enough (because a lot of people don't use it)

So have a play with the scaling?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Bottleneck?

No, 4670k would never bottleneck BF4 at 30fps ultra. 2 290's should be pushing at like 3000 fps.
