Hopefully I'm posting to the correct subforum?

Hi. I just received a Fractal Torrent case. I took it out of the box, and went to touch it, at which point I accidentally shocked it with my finger. Just the case- neither the power supply nor any other components have been added, except for the electronics included in the case. Should I worry? How likely is it that I've damaged the electronics that came in the case, such as the included fan controller, or the fans, or the power buttons/ USB connections, etc? I can't build for another week at least, so I can't tell yet whether anything's happened. Am I just worried about nothing? What should I do, if anything?

Completely Fried the case and its unusable now 😞 The case cannot be a case anymore.

Just kidding your fine. Shocks happen, you cannot kill hardware with such little shock, especially just a case. The other stuff wont be affected in the least bit.

You're worried about nothing.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

You are absolutely over worried 😄   Check out the videos @IkeaGnome posted, its difficult to nearly impossible to kill hardware with such little shock.
What you should do is start building in your new sick case!

You are completely fine. Don't worry about it.

An empty PC case is just a chunk of metal. If anything, it zapped you with static electricity it built up from the plastic and foam packing materials.

Nothing to worry about.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Every new computer case I have ever opened has shocked me when pulling it out of the box, they wrap it in regular plastic and package it in Styrofoam both of which are not antistatic. There is absolutely nothing to worry about.
