What keyboard is best?

One that you like.

 

It is very subjective, some people even prefer membrane than mechanical and some other mechanical over membrane.

Then there's switch differences for mechanical keyboard, and key profile.

Then some other features, which usually just QoL features.

 

Go to nearest brick & mortar store that provides keyboards that you can try and just go ham at trying each. Now there isn't any store that provides all kinds of mechanical switches with all kinds of profile, but you can atleast get a gist based on the usual standard switches & profiles.

 

Me personally, I like the old cheap logitech membrane keyboard profile, so my choice of mechanical keyboard is limited, G915 from Logitech, but it's really expensive. So I ended up getting a G915 clone which was way cheaper. But yeah, it's after I bought a cheap used keyboard with standard profile to try it out, since no store here provide keyboard to test.

We don't know what you like, what keyboards are available to you, how much you're willing to pay, what kind of keyboard you want/like, etc.

 

Devoid of any details, the best keyboard for you is, as mentioned above, one that you like and/or are comfortable with.

If youre buying 1st time, dont overthink it. Try a bunch of keyboard physically in computer stores and even specialty keyboard stores if theyre available locally. Getting hands on is always better than theory.
