Triple channel RAM

Motherboard - Asus prime z370 - P

Cpu - core i9 9900k

Installed RAM - G skill trident Z RGB DDR4 3200Mhz 16 gb

GPU - Leadtek RTX 2080 Super

That doesn't support triple channel, it has 2 slots per channel. Just run 2x16 in slots 2 and 4 counting from the CPU

Is triple channel RAM ok?

If it is, then I have already one 16 gb RAM. If I purchase two more 8GB RAM will it be better? Or should I buy just one 16gb RAM.

My target is to fill 32gb

And in which slots of the motherboard should I place those to get maximum output?

Thanks in Advance!

On X58 yes. On any other platform it's not really optimal, though it depends on the system for how Un optimal it even is or if it's even possible.

We need to know more system specs like what CPU and motherboard you have to answer this question.

on a consumer platform you are not going to get triple or quad channel, you will be stuck with channel., the CPU with the motherboard will basically run all DIMM_A and DIMM_B sticks in dual channel

either will be fine, remember that more memory the more load it is going towards you memory controller, which depending on the memory is usually fine.

Is this x58 or is this a different platform? Cause x58 does have triple channel support but everything else has either moved on to quad channel (hedt) or still on dual channel (mainstream)

If you wanna run an imbalance config its not prefferable but i still managed to clock 1520 ddr2 on a 1x3 config (so one of the channels is in dual rank the other in single rank)

Dual rank triple channel is pretty sweet. If you can get triple channel working on X58 it will blow the doors off of dual channel anyday.
