Can anyone tell me if theres somethign wrong to this ps q 1

I just teardowned this ps1 and saw some strange stuff like the chip on the back whit the wires  the io shield

Your ps1 has a modchip on it. Basically it can run homebrew and anything. Looks done not too long ago either as those white wires discolor after about 5 years usually

I think the real question is, why did you take it apart in the first place?  Was it broken, did not work, etc?

For cleaning cuz i bought it for like. 4.25$

Is this mod chip ok soldered?  Or should i resolder?

If it works, I don't see any reason to take it apart just so that you can put it back together.  Just creating extra work for yourself.

Yeah i did this cuz i wanted to see whats inside of it and maybe clean it has lots of rust in it and if i didnt tear it down.i wouldnt have found out that it has a mod chip
