You know iOS viruses are a thing right?

But 95% of all phone malware is created for Android. Just like with Windows, hackers target the market that is easiest to infect. It's not just illegal/cracked apps that are the problem either on Android. In 2013, the official Google Play Store had 42,000 malicious apps available for download, and Google only bothered to remove less than 25% of them. I am not in any way an Apple fanboy, but the Android operating system has a horrible reputation where security is concerned and Google doesn't seem interested in fixing the problem.

And this is why I stick to iOS ;). It's much more difficult to get this kind of thing.

 

You stick to iOS so you won't get a virus when you search for banned pornography?

Read the article, the people weren't actually searching for banned anything and got the malware from regular porn sites.
