Cooler for EVGA GTX 970 SC

Cooler on my GTX 970 SC from EVGA is, erm, well, gone. The plastic shroud and fans have been gone (long story, kinda embarrassing, useless to this post) for a couple years now. Hoping to find a replacement for it. For the past couple years I've literally just had an extra fan propped up next to it and blowing on it. This hasn't been an issue as I don't game, so haven't had to worry about thermals. Anyone know where I can get a new ACX 2.0 cooler for it?

Take two fans. Mount them onto the heatsink with Zip-ties, glue or whatever. Issue solved.

Sounds exactly like what OP is already doing. Pretty sure that is not what they are asking here.

 

OP: your best bet is to get a dead card on ebay and just salvage its cooler. Sounds like you enjoyed your time "deshrouding" your GPU.

I don't think he has two good fans mounted to the heatsink. How I understood is - he's got a fan blowing towards the "passively cooled" card.

Having the fans on the heatsink/cooler would offer way better cooling than having a case fan blow air onto the cooler from a distance.

I was thinking that would be it. Le sigh. But also le understandable? I wasn't sure if EVGA would have back stock coolers for cheap or something.

I have two dead EVGA 970's here - Need a working cooler?

If doesn't get too hot and you have space with extra PCIe slots you could just buy a cheap PCIe bracket that can mount fans. I have 3D printed a bracket for a old GPU and put two fans that were 25mm thick. It didn't seem worth it buy a specific 92mm GPU fan for an older GPU.

Ebay would have cards. Could get a dead card and swap the cooler. Or a working card for prolly not that much more.
