No, stick to 3600 or 3800

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Fedora 38 x86_64

Secondary: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Fedora 38 x86_64

Server: AMD Athlon PRO 3125GE, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 ECC, TrueNAS Core 13.0-U5.1

No stick to 3600. Lower the CAS the better.

 

There is also IMC silicone lottery to consider, most chips wont run 4000 with 1:1 Infinity fabric to match.

Upgrade or replace... If upgrade/you've got some empty slots, I would stick to 3200 mhz. And pick the same brand.

I've been running G.Skill memory for the last...12 (?) years now. No issues.

I have thrown in a mix of Corsair / Crucial.

I don't think upgrading from 3200 to 3600 is worth it, performance difference is not that much to make it worth.

Also, have you bought the 5800X? 5800X for gaming is waste of money, 5700X performs about the same for much less.

I bought the 5800x for 170 on eBay. I have been using it but there is a game coming out in February and where I have 16 gigs I need 32 and I’m gonna upgrade my gpu. My thought was either buy more pny 3200 or just change it for a better brand but I’m to unsure. I have wasted too much money on my setup already and tired of wasting money.

Probly better off with some b die 3200/3600 and tightening it up as much as u can as that where the memory controller tops out on Ryzen 

-13600kf 

- 4000 32gb ram 

-4070ti super duper
