URGENT ANSWER! (Seriously though, it's best to use a title that actually reflects your original post. Otherwise, people may be less inclined to click on it.)

Anywho, that motherboard supports the Ryzen 5 5600 so I don't see why it wouldn't be a good motherboard for it, based on your original post. 🙂

hello there...i need help...i just bought a new ryzen 5 5600 cpu...i have asrock a320m hdv r4.0 motherboard with latest update...before this i use ryzen 5 2600 cpu..running fine for about 2 years now...but when i installed this new r5 5600 cpu on a320 mobo...my pc shut down when gaming or when i stress test it...just shut down..no bsod..no reboot after...the weird thing is...when i lowered the ram speed to 2400...the system can gaming fine a little longer..but still shut down anyway...

but now i remove one ram stick...mean i only use one 8gb ram with 3200 speed...the system can run fine now..gaming no shut down...also can run prime95 no shutdown for more than 15 minutes...(before when i use 2 ram at 3200 or 2400...pc shutdown the moment i run prime95)

what do you think the problem is..i have corsair rm650 psu..( idont think my psu is faulty..because when i swap back to my ryzen 5 2600 cpu..it run just fine..

is it the motherboard vrm cant handle ryzrn 5 5600?

Board probably just hates the combination of parts. Motherboard is usually the lowest cost most cheaply made component in a pc.

Which cooler do you have on the 5600?

How do your temperatures behave?

Is there any airflow across the VRM-s?

VRMs must be hot enough to put a pan on top and fry some chicken. Betcha.

RAM shouldn't cause any trouble, the fact that it works with one stick or after rebooting and lowering the clock could be simply a placebo effect caused by the VRMs cooling down when you shut off the computer. If you lower the clocks it causes a bottleneck and the CPU has to run slower, hence why it takes longer to shut off.

What case do you have? PLEASE don't say H510.

What to do: ghetto heatsinks and fans, or new mobo.

i have cooler master q300l..but i open all the side case when testing..haha tq...mobo then?...im relieved not the psu

i use the stock wraith cooler that come with it

on idle is around 67

but when gaming it goes to 77 - 82...but the cpu usage is only around 35-45 while gaming..then it shut down

Just get a PCIE NIC, but I don't know if you have clearance for the graphic card. What graphic card you currently  using?

I recall AM4 have intermittent USB connectivity issue in it's early day, have you updated your mainboard BIOS to latest?

Have you tried power limit your 5600, considering there's no VRM heatsink on your board?

If you wanna swap out, it's best to get an X570 board over B550, or a decent A520 board like the A520M AORUS ELITE, that has heatsink.

You can try to use them all together with these two RAM kits. Just keep in mind that the 2x8GB 3200MHz DIMMS will run at 2666MHz and will try to match timings to the slowest in the system to make it work. At worst, JEDEC timings of 2133MHz will be used.

The only side effects would be crashes/BSOD and system freezes/hanging.

Have you tried clearing CMOS? I would clear CMOS to force the system to undergo memory training which will try and optimize the RAM settings to work nicely with the IMC in the CPU.

No, it will just clear any settings that are changed inside the BIOS. It could never change the BIOS back to an earlier version.

Have you tried another USB port? I'm not sure how reliable those are when compared to say a PCIe WiFi card.
