I have the Asus Z270-p Prime Motherboard - which CPUs can I upgrade to (from G4400 Pentium)?

Hi!

My PC is feeling a bit slow lately (it was fine, perhaps latest windows update or something).

Was wondering which CPUs can I update to

I see that this is a LGA-1151 socket:

https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-z270-p/

I just don't want to mess this up before I make an order on a certain CPU (I think i3 would be enough for my needs).

THANKS!!!

Thank you. Would you say it's worth the CPU upgrade? Or should I just buy a new PC?

depends

what cpu do you have now and is that the only other upgrade you would make if not

it might be easier getting a 10th or 11th gen board with a cheap i3

i imagine 130 or less for a cpu

for a used 7th gen or 6th gen it wouldnt be bad but it all depends again what your using now and how you plan to use your computer
