Posted May 5, 2014 I bought this, but it says on the warning that it shouldn't be used for spray painting, I am only going to spray painting my case. Posted May 5, 2014 You are most likely perfectly safe just to use it in a ventilated area without a respirator. Such as a shed with the door open and spraying near the door. Posted May 5, 2014 That's a perfectly good mask designed for paint since the 3M 6001 filter on it is made for organic vapours which are present in most paints or have low levels of it. Personally I just spray in well ventilated area or outside since I don't paint much, but if you a lot of painting it's good investment for your lungs. Posted May 6, 2014 its good to goto the manufactures website and read up. 3m is a good. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/NATekk/Tekk/Product-Catalog/~/Paint-Project-Respirator-6000-Series?N=3294529181+5927440+3294427654&rt=rud that is a mid level respirator that would be good for painting so you can do it in a booth, aerosols are the main thing you want to filter when.
