4090 Suprim X water block issue

Hello!

 

I just chucked a block onto my 4090 Suprim X but I noticed that the terminal design is completely different.

 

Is this done correctly?

 

On the picture I showed where the holes are and the 3090 one was designed completely differently and I can't trace how water travels through the block easily.

Transparent one is 3090 one.

 

The new one goes fully throughout the block on both sides.

Sounds like it depends on a certain brass fitting, but by default the way you have it looks like the suitable way. If you aren't bothered to opening it up yourself, you should contact EKWB support.

Well if its supposed to be setup like the clear terminal you have on the table, then no, this is not correct. It would be the intake and outtake both on that left side. Double-check with EK how this one is setup, but I imagine it should be the same.

The blocks are not the same. Clear is 3090 which I don't have. The 4090 terminal just goes through the holes on both sides with holes going into the block where I put red dots.

This doesn't make any sense. Why is that tube running almost completely dry in your picture? Do you have a link to the exact block/active backplate from EK. I am pretty sure you should be orienting it the same as the 3090 was otherwise that just doesn't make much sense from a flow path perspective. (see my previous post with paint drawing of flow pattern).

 

EDIT: I mean, maybe I am wrong, but just doesn't look right to me.
