OMG, I actually BOUGHT my first parts....

Since like.. januari, i have been given the "OK" from my girlfriend to buy a new pc, once the taxes were in.

And since then i have started gathering parts....in my head..

And now the day is finally here that i have bought my first items! :P

Totally against my previous ideas... i went and bought the Corsair AIR 540 WHITE!

AIR540_white_hero_up.png

I am going with a White-Red theme, so i went and bought some red sleeved cables already and the Corsair SP120 Quiet edition fans for the soon to be arriving Corsair H100i.

I hope to be buying the rest somewhere next week.

This is my current setup..

- Corsair AIR 540 White

- Corsair H100i watercooling

- Corsair RM 650 PSU

- Kingston HyperX Fury 1866 8 GB (2x4)

- Samsung EVO 840 120 GB SSD

- WD Black 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD

- MSI Z87 G45 Motherboard

- MSI GTX 780Ti Gaming 3G Videocard

- Intel 4770K CPU

It will also be my first real build EVER... (i used to put stuff together willy nilly ages ago.. but after that, i always bought ready-to-go stuff)

I'll keep u updated on the proces of building .. wish me luck :D

It's great to see more and more people getting into PC building and showing enthusiasm for it! :) Those are some beefy specs, but most importantly, have fun building it!

Yea agreed, we need more people to boost up the market so we can get rid of the whole 'PC era is over' bullshit lol

May want to consider the Gigabyte Ga-Z87X UD4H because it would fit your theme really well with the white accents on the board.  00.jpg

Newegg has it for 144.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128617&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

I'm telling you this because the MSI G45 Gaming is not actually red but pinkish. I have build a PC with it.

I like how you call pre-build "ready to go" stuff. ;)

And I wonder if you need an i7 and a 780Ti.
You could as well get a different lower wattage PSU. The RM series are still a little bit scary but I give 0 fucks, at least corsair has great RMA.

Then why doesn't everyone build their own PCs?

Thanks for the feedback and enthousiasme :)

I MIGHT change some things still, but since i read that the MSI Board and some nifty automed overclocking thing for MSI Gaming GPU's .. i thought i'd stick with that combo.

Also, again, i read that 8GB is more then enough for gaming atm. i'd rather have a better performing GPU then some extra RAM that isnt used.

But i WOULD really like a whole red/black thing... so if the mobo isnt really red.. i might change it,

i would have thought that the whole "gaming" series from MSI had the same color scheme.

A friend of mine mentioned that 650 PSU might not be enough for this.

But i never see much talk about more then 650.. if you are not doing SLI or something.

What do you guys think.. 650 enough??

780ti isnt really worth the extra $$$ imo

would rather get 16Gb of ram and 256GB ssd

It's his money imo.

heck if it's my opinion for gaming anything below 780 ti from nvidia is pure garbage. so is anything below i7 and 16gb of ram.

it's more like how well they value their money. Lol in this forum there are more people crazier than I am.

Live your life like a dream.

16GB of ram isn't necessary, but as a 128gb boot drive user I can tell him that he may struggle with that size. I think the majority of people would sacrifice some ram and storage for that extra bit of gpu power.

You could maybe manage SLI with a 650 to be tight, if you plan on doing SLI then go for something slightly higher like a 750.

i am not doing SLI atm. maybe in a year or 2.. if ever :)

Also, i will probablt be getting 16GB ram end of the year and a 500GB SSD next year... But i want to be able to play Watchdogs and Dragon Age Inquisition on max until then.. until Star Citizen! :D
