I think people are getting to the last picture and getting stuck 😛

 

Nobody can say, because it's impossible to tell. Might be from manufacturing, might not be. More to the point, does it matter? Not like it affects anything.

i think if ABS plastic side plate can scratch the iron disc drive like that.  The side plate itself will also got the some scratches. But in fact,side plate was perfect. So I think it might be the SONY factory defects(manufacturing) due to ,what do u think,bro? What’s your opinion?

I think it really doesn't matter. Does it work? Great then who cares. This is like the biggest non-issue I've seen someone bring up.

My opinion is it doesn't matter what the cause was. 

Like in the slightest.

Definitely looks like a manufacturing defect. There's no way a flat plastic surface could scratch a flat metal surface.

 

IMO, it's not an issue because it's completely hidden when the PS5 is put together. But if you really wanted to, there might be a replacement metal part on ebay.
