I want to know how to get rid of the extension icon, there is a picture of it below. I've tried customizing the toolbar and trying to remove it but it won't let me. Can someone help?

Sounds like something to be found in a Mozilla faq to me

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Dunno then.  A Mozilla specific fourm maybe?

Should be as easy as right clicking it and choosing "Remove from Toolbar".

If "it won't let you", as you say, are you perchance using it on a corporate or school device that's managed by their IT department? Because they can lock this sort of stuff. So if it's not your personal machine, you'll just have to live with it.

it is my personal computer and when I try to do that the "remove from toolbar" button is grayed out and when I click it, it doesn't do anything

Is it the last time in the toolbar and what you are actually trying to do is remove the toolbar?

what do you mean?

I am wondering if the toolbar is empty except for that one thing.

There is the toolbar and things on the toolbar.  If you are trying to remove the extension icon in an attempt to remove the toolbar I don’t think it’s necessary. My memory is you can just hide it.  It is fairly common for the last item on a list to be unremovable.  If the only thing left on the toolbar is that one icon, putting something else back may make it removable, at which point that other thing you added becomes unremovable.  If it’s not the only thing on the toolbar then all this means nothing.

it's not the only thing, I would like to hide it, only because I don't have any extensions

There is probably a way to do that.  I might pivot in that direction.

If it’s not the only thing though it’s a useless thought

And just to make sure, you can't drag it out when you are in customizing menu? I use very customized version of Firefox, with UI elements reflecting era before iCons and Chromification.

This is not acting like one would expect.  Implies something maybe up. Is the remove/hide the toolbar entirely possible?

I can remove the download one, the save to pocket one, and the refresh one, but I can't remove the extensions and menu, and I want to keep the menu
