This is a post in regards to helping out a friend of mine so I can't give exact details on components or what happens when x is done and when y is done with x but here's the run down and I was hoping for anyones insight into what it could be

He wasn't doing much just on call when his pc bluescreened and turned off, from then on it wouldn't turn on.

Tried making sure everything is plugged in, cleaned it out and nothing, when turned on absolutely nothing happens, no fans, no lights no nothing

Sounds like PSU or board went bye bye. I would swap out the PSU first if you have spares.

do this again and then clear CMOS

or the PSU is dead, but less likely.
