What is casuing super high idle usage?

I logged of my computer Win+L key, left to do some errands, i came back and heard my cpu fan was a bit loud. I logged on my pc and found this unusual high cpu speed and usage, immidatly after logging in you can see the cpu throttle down like at normal idles. Some kind of virus? I have not downloaded anything shady that i can recall.

Why not just put your computer to sleep? Could be whatever background program, Windows itself or who knows. How does MSI afterburner even log the data when user is logged off?

That can be background services.

If you open Task Manager/Processes and click CPU to show highest use then close it.

After leaving your PC inactive for a bit you can open Task Manager and the name of the offending process will be on top for .5 seconds, you have to be quick.

For me it was Gaming Services from XBox as I'm signed in to the Microsoft Account.

When pressing Win+L key, you dont Log off, you kinda just lock your computer.

Googled differences and choosing sign out actually closes all apps? I am just bamboozled. I will stick to using the sleep button. Only use case for locking is in office environment. But since locking keeps all software running at background, then it could literally be anything, most likely Windows update service or similar.
