[Steam] Ea Racing Game MASSIVE Sale!

MrTomnus

For the next 48 hours, EA's racing games are at least 75% off on Steam! Some games are even completely free!

Whether you can buy these games individually, I don't know. I've had a quick look and I can't seem to find a way of doing this. The free games include Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and Need For Speed: Shift. Burnout Paradise, NFS Undercover and NFS Shift 2 Unleashed are also discounted.

EDIT: It looks like you can only get Hot Pursuit and Shift for free if you get them from the bundle. If you try to buy the games individually, they cost £3.75 (in the UK that is).

I own Hot Persuit and Burnout Paradise, those are quite good, if you only want 2 I'd take those.

Both of them use the same engine (burnout)

Supposedly that framerate lock has a workaround. And TB did a video on it and he found when the framerate is unlocked, the physics calculations scale with it... But I think that has a fix too now. It's worth checking out, but if you want to avoid the hassle then get Hot Pursuit or Burnout, they're both awesome :)

Which one would you recommend? I impulse-bought Hot Pursuit, because the old one (NFS 3) was pretty damn good.

I guess undercover is one with a terrible pseudo story and shift is sposedly realistic? What about burnout? :D

Edit: are the steam servers giving in already, or why are my purchases not showing up in my library?

who cares...

I thought that a while ago... But I don't think that does work because when you buy the free ones separately they aren't free anymore. :/

I guess it's EA up to their usual shenanigans  -_-

The best ones IMO are hot pursuit and burnout. HP is more realistic and burnout is great if you just want to mess about, wreck cars and do awesome jumps :)

I haven't bought any yet so I wouldn't know about servers - I checked my bank account and I have £4...... I need to stop buying PC hardware :D

There is indeed a workaround, all you need to do is type this in:  -GameTime.MaxSimFps 45 -GameTime.ForceSimrate 45.0

into the shortcut command line properties thingy

And your set to play @60r15 FPS.
