Camera does not scan QR Codes on Samsung M30S:

Hello, everyone!

I am using an M30S and I am pretty sure I am on the newest software update version etc. My camera app does not automatically scan QR codes, nor do I see a function to enable it to do so. Also, my friend has a different Samsung model (some A series from 2 years ago) and she can select a built in QR code scanner from the dropdown options where stuff like WiFi, Bluetooth, Phone Rotation etc. is located. I do not have that option, either.

A third party QR code scanner app works flawlessly, but if possible, I would like to know why my QR code scanner does not work.

Try updating the camera app if you haven't already.

Hmm..... not sure if that phone is updated to One UI 4.1 or still on 3.0, sorry don't have my A20 at hand right now. But like you said on the drop down menu, if you scroll the side (edge of the menu) you'll see a plus symbol. You should some extra option for the dropdown and maybe it's there?

 

Not quite sure though as my A52s is running One UI 4.1.
