CPU Overheating New Build

Hello there,

the relevant info on the new build is as follows:

A Ryzen 7700x cooled by a Corsair H100i AIO.

My fans are definitely push air, and I have both side panels off. But the computer still keeps overheating before I can even install windows.

the Pump is connected to the cpu fan header.

any thoughts as to why the cpu isn’t being cooled?

If you are certain the pump and fans are working then it can only really be a mount/contact issue.

You can check pump rpm swiftly in bios along will holding the housing to feel for vibrations, that's about all you can do without opening things up.

If all looks well then i'd remove the pump block and check the spread of paste to see how the contact was, if it looks like good contact then likely the cooler has failed internally.

If it comes down to checking contact with CPU, make sure there isn't any plastic peel you forgot to leel off from the pump.

Check how temps behave under BIOS, if they rise up quickly then the cooler don't work

Bad contact usually make temp rise abnormally fast but not overheating in 30 seconds...

You can also check if the pump works (I'd say it doesn't)

Corsair AIOs have weird connectors, are you sure everything is plugged in properly ?
