I mean there's some neat things there, but not a whole lot that isn't already available via other services. So. If someone wanted that kind of customization they likely already have it via other means. The watch face customizer looks kind of interesting though.

Not unusual to announce it through a press release. Samsung in recent years has a habit of unveiling its latest OneUI in the fall so that people are already testing and upgrading when the year is over. The Galaxy S phones debuting early in the new year will still have unique software features; it'll just be based on an OS you can already get.

 

One observation: Samsung really, really isn't subtle about duping iOS 16's customizable lock screens. It's not exactly the same, but the company was clearly taking notes at WWDC.
