Anyone know when the 4060 ti is expected to come on for sale. Also just roughly how much is it expected to cost? will it be close to the price of a 3060 ti now?

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).

I doubt we will know anything about 4060ti for some time.  They are likely to only mention 4090, 4080 and possibly a 4070ti rebranded as "4080 12GB".

You could just get a 3090 or 3090ti since your not going high end for 4000 series.  There will be some fire sales especially on 3090 if you'll accept used (no reason not to with buyer protections esp if there is remaining warranty).

I am fine with used but seeing as I'm getting all other parts new I might as well try to get my hands on a 3080 or 3070 ti new. How much do you reckon I could get a new 3080 for after the 4000 series gets announced? Would a used GPU have worse performance with all new parts?

Suggesting an $800 card when he was looking at a $400 card is an odd choice.

No, it won't. But you'll get a lot less performance at the same price point. I'd just pick up a really low end card and run that until the 4000 series comes out. You won't lose as much money when it comes time to resell it.

What do you mean a lot less performance at the same price point? The problem is is that I don't have the budget to buy a card more than 330 USD. By low end card what do you mean? I would probably just stick with the card I am originally getting (3060 ti). I would get it for a bit cheaper. Is upgrading to a 3070 a better idea that that? I don't want to buy the 4000 series anymore.

Probably it right there.  You may be able to stretch a used 3080 @ about 400 if your lucky but I'd just wait the year and save a bit more for the 4060ti your looking at.  The speed will probably be about the same but RTX will likely be much stronger and probably more than 10GB of vram.

Well how much do you reckon it would be for the 4060 ti? I'm happy with a 3080 or 3070. Will the 4060 ti be better than a new 3070? I'm going to by my gpu around the start of the new year anyways.

Look at the release dates for the cards in the past several generations.

 

They always do the higher-end cards first to get as much money as possible from people who don't have the patience to wait and so buy more card than they need. Then the "budget"/mid-range models come later, sometimes months later. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
