Ryzen 7 7700X - Best motherboard I can get for €350 budget

With the latest news about the new ryzen cpus, I am planning on upgrading from the ryzen 5 5600x to the ryzen 7 7700x cpu, of course this requires me to upgrade my motherboard and will also require ram upgrades etc

What would be the best motherboard I can get for a 350 euro budget?

None, as 350 euros won't cover that at all. RAM kits are half that budget, the other half would be the cheapest motherboard you could find - and that would still leave you without a CPU.

AM5 motherboards aren't out yet. Lots have been announced, but it's impossible to say what's the "best" yet.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

350 is not the overall budget, just the budget for the motherboard itself

Most if not all motherboards haven't had their pricing announced yet, so this would all be speculation. I'd assume the MSI X670e Carbon would be a ~350€ board and is looking like a very solid option, but until we get official pricing there isn't much of a point for speculation as of now.

^^^ Boards need to be out and 3rd party tested to decide what's best. Paper spec is mostly useless because it won't show any BIOS related issues or really funky unintended stuff. I'd expect a few teething issues with DDR5 as well, if there aren't then I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Probably almost any of them, it's a ridiculous budget for a motherboard.  250 is MAX what I would spend.

Why not wait until they're all actually out?  Let products hit the marketplace, it just got announced a few days ago.

Motherboards will start from around 125-150 EUR, so probably you'll find quite decent boards at around 200-250 EUR and you'll be able to use the rest for memory.

  • 1 month later...

I'd like to bump this thread now, given the processors are now available and I want to begin purchasing the required components now.

Reminder, the budget is not for the entire build, the budget is for the motherboard specifically!

Didn't do  a lot of research...

The Asus TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI 6E looks OK to me, seems like a good mix of features, IO shield packed with usb ports of all kinds, a bunch of m.2 connectors, usb 10g header, ok vrm ... don't see anything wrong with it at a brief look.
