Violent video games and teens

So I'm writing about how violent video games don't effect teens negatively for my english class. So far this is what I have for the outline so far

 

Reason 1:

Massacres have been around long before violent video games

• First school massacre recorded was in 18th century
• avg gamer is 35 yo, 49% of gamers are 18+
• 44% of games sold in 2007 were rated E
• Juvenile crimes have been dropping since 95

Reason 2:

What about violent movies, tv shows, books, and news!?

~Evidence:

• teens watch violent movies, read violent books, and see violent news castings each day

Reason 3:

I had that parents ignore ESBR ratings and buy there kids whatever but that doesn't really going along with the topic

Reason 3: I play violent video games 12+ hours a day during the summer. I am the same person I was when I was just playing racing games. I do not think about killing people or even hurting people. (Innocent people that is..... IDC about hurting bad people)

Well, I believe that some of the anger and bad things that come from video games come from the raging part of the game. On a video, someone said that people have become more violent after playing MarioKart than while playing BF4 or something.

"Challenge" is what makes people rage, not fake blood shed. There is legit challenge that is satisfying to overcome and then there is cheap AI that will cause you to fling a controller into a wall.

 

Think of it like this. Minecraft is clearly not a realistic FPS in the slightest. But imagine if you collected a lot of materials and then suddenly a random mob spawns that ends up killing you for a cheap death, you lose your items. Point proven.
