i am currently planning on buying/replacing my ram on my pc

i currently use a cheap ram from an obscure brand that maybe the north american market never heard of, but on indonesian market it is relatively known (Klevv)

i want to replace my 8x2 kit to a 16x2 kit. brands like corsair usually goes for 140 usd here, but brands like adata or klevv sells it for for 40 usd less
https://www.tokopedia.com/enterkomputer/adata-ddr4-xpg-spectrix-d41-grey-pc25600-3200mhz-32gb-2x16gb

is it worth it?

What would your use cases be?

If just for gaming, there's no need to upgrade.

Besides, brands doesn't matter all that much for RAMs, as long as the thing works as it is supposed to, then you're not missing out on any performance. Unless you want RGB.

Even if you need 32GB, just buy another kit of same type.

I'd rather save the money for a better GPU for next upgrade.

You should also check if your motherboard has 4 memory slots or only 2.

if it has 4, you could also just buy another pair of 8 GB sticks for a total of 4 x 8 GB = 32 GB.

They'll all work at the speed and timings of the lower performance stick but they'll work together.

Also agree with 16 GB still being quite enough for most games and most applications.

kinda just to get a headroom, like when i play the remastered spiderman, and watching something on the other screen, my ram usage would be in the <90%
and i edit photos and videos from now and then

the RGB is just a plus, and its cheaper than nonRGB (excluding the green pcb sticks)

Hmm, I'd check what is using so much RAM, is chrome using hardware acceleration?

When I play that game, I barely go above 13GB with multiple browser tabs and lots of applications open.

But seriously, for the cost (when compared to the Jakarta's UMR), I wouldn't spend so much on a new RAM kit, unless you could trade in or find secondhand ones.

I suggest buying 4 of these instead, you will save 510rb (34$) while getting higher performance rams due to dual rank

yes they are lowbin but guaranteed 3200 cl16 lazy overclock is acheivable (set 3200, 16-18-18, 1.35v, let mobo auto everything else and done, sticks themselves can do >4600 but that doesnt matter espeically if you run dual rank)

Ask for k4a8g085wd or micron rev e (d9vpp, d9wsm, c9bjz, etc.), latter is preffered

thats the other problem, i currently reside in papua because of work, so secondhand ones is not an option

thats why i want some headroom because getting this here is so expensive, and i asked my parents to bring it with them because theyre coming home from vacation, so its free shipping lol

but my mobo is a b450m, only have 2 slots for memory. so buying 4 is not an option
