Logitech G533 mic not working (likely hardware issue).

Hi,

 

I have two Logitech G533 headsets both with the same issue of the mic not working, tried multiple computers, with and without ghub. Sound is fine, connects fine to wireless receiver.

 

The only time I can get any movement from the bar in OBS is when I press the mute button on the headset.

 

I can't seem to find a replacement mic for the headset, but it looks like Logitech don't sell a lot of spare parts.

 

ANyone have the knowledge of what the black wire is beside the red and copper coloured one, as I can't see where it goes, possibly ground, and it is bare at one point?

 

Trying to learn some basic stuff, so am happy to try and test if the wires are broken, led still works.
