  1. Hi, So after my BQ SP11 850w psu going after a year, i finally managed to get a rma refund, and find somewhere that had a decent psu at a good price (HX1000 @ £155). I have read that it is a good idea to run in multiple rail, but am also seeing reports that the rtx 3090 kind of on the limit for running in multiple rail, is this true, which should i run? Also, the cables that came with the psu are not the best looking. The mb cable seems pretty solid, but not that flexible, which i could live with, but the cpu ones arent the longest, and the pcie ones are wei
  2. Luckily, the supplier has sent me a prepaid RMA stamp to send it back to them, they will test, and replace if found faulty. The only worry is they don't have this PSU in stock, and then it would be a refund. Worry is, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of higher tier PSUs in stock just now, plus it looks like I got this on a deal as I had time in my hand (£125). Suppose, still better than having to pay £20 to send to Germany, and possibly be without anything for 4 weeks.
  3. Just tried that, again clicked, but nothing after that.
  4. I was just sitting watching a bit of YouTube, then 10mins later my pc just turned off, went to try and turn it on again, and got a click. Pulled out kettle lead, checked other cables connected to mains adapter, and they were still all fine, connected kettle lead, switched to I, turned on, nothing. Checked all internal cabling, connected again, nothing. Disconnected pay, removed, put in MB supply only, plugged into my son's MB, nothing. The only thing I seem to get is a click. Guessing it is a RMA, or is there something else I may be doing wrong?
  5. That's as far as my slider goes. Just have the bios it shipped with on it.
  6. Thanks both. Power limit is 102, core voltage is 100. In an ideal world i would of waited for the full reviews of both lots of cards, but got offered this on release day, and being impatient, bought it. Dilemma is I had a dual setup of 2 x xl2546s, got them for £370 each, and have now changed one to a dell s2721dgf, and looking to sell the second xl2546s, as I sold the first for £400. Now, do I go for another dgf at £330, AW2721 at £700 (this is why I am seeing what FPS I can push), or a LG 27gn950 which is 4k? Want to strike while I
  7. MSI rtx3099 gaming X Trio oc I am looking to get as much FPS out of my machine as possible, 1440p seems difficult for some reason to push. I have de-bloated the windows build, change settings, changed bios, now onto after burner. Currently running +80MHz on core clock, fans at 85% , and temp of 56c, GPU clock at 2085. While have warzone playing (spectating), OBS recording. Will that increase of less than 5% make much difference in the amount of FPS on a game like warzone? I seen the increase in timespy score when going up in increment
  8. It wasn't the main item off the video, and at least he had the theory knowledge correct, probably just got handed the box.
  9. I use the dell monitor in the evening, and had to buy LEDs (bias lighting), as without it, it strained my eyes. If zowie done a 1440p 27" 240hz screen, I would buy it, even if it was a tn panel.
  10. @Sh!fT Check https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/dell-s2721dgfa-ps312-wstudent-discount-at-dell-3584697 Seems like people are getting for £300 mark, may have a delivery date in December though.
  11. When I got the dell, I think the Asus tuf would of been the bigger price of £480, which was £150 more than the dell. It looks like there isn't much in it according to rtings, and since I have had it, hardware unboxed have also done a review and put it as their top 1440p monitor.
  12. I would advise getting the dell S2721dgf, can be had for £330ish. There is usually codes floating about for discounts on dells website, student discount code, work places that use dell sometimes have a discount scheme. £389 seems to be normal.orice just now, but oos.
  13. From the videos I have seen, you need a top end CPU along with GPU to get something playable in 4k, I have been looking at Call of Duty warzone (I believe this ain't a well.optimised game) benchmarks, and people are lucky to get 144fps with 10850k and rtx3900 on low settings. I think you will have a lot better expeirence getting a 27" 1440p monitor.
  14. I think you also need to look at benchmarks, and what is needed to push these at the settings you are looking for. 4k 144hz you will need to lower the settings on top end machines, so you will.probably need a new CPU top end CPU, new top end GPU, and probably new ram aswell.
  15. Check out the new Alienware 360hz monitor, 24" ish, 1080p
