Ryzen 7 5700x or Ryzen 7 5800x on eco mode?

Hi guys, i've bought a 5800x because it was only $17,50 more than a 5700x. Is it true that if i run it on eco mode it will work the same as a 5700x? Same tdp and clock?

Why would you want to do that?

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume old/tight m-itx case with poor/no airflow, thus wanting a lower TDP.

Yes, it will perform worse on ECO mode.

That's because i would like the option to use it at it's full potencial in the future if i need it. But for my use a 5700x would be enough. But the price difference was too low to pass on the 5800x. Just wanted to know if the 5800x on eco mode will perform the same as the 5700x stock.
